Since on Saturday, the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) embarked on a total and indefinite nationwide strike over unmet demands. Briefing the press on Monday, November 3, President of the association, Dr Muhammad Suleiman, defended the action of the doctors. He said the strike followed the expiration of a 30-day ultimatum to the Federal Government. Dr Suleiman said the association had exercised patience for too long in the face of government’s inaction.
