Reports Say the Nigerian military has used airsteikes to kill  one of  the leaders of the Islamic State of West Africa Province  ISWAP, Ba'a Shuwa. The report says a number of Ba'a's  fighters in the North East of Borno State, North East of Nigeria were also neutralised during  a major offensive  Ba'a Shuwa, was the ISWAP Leader of the Niger Republic Region of  Wylayat, Lake Chad, Kwalfarji, Timbuktu Farouq and Sambisa Mantika of the ISIS affiliated Islamic State of West Africa Province According to reports , Intelligence sources told a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region,Zagazola Makama, that the damaging  airstrikes carried out on January 2, 2023 at  Kwatan Dilla, in  Abadam Local Government Area  of Borno State had led to the killing of Ba'a Shuwa and many other fighters.
