NELFUND Operates Remotely During Fumigation Exercise, Holiday
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) wishes to inform its stakeholders, partners, and the general public that its operations will continue seamlessly as the office temporarily adopts a skeletal remote work arrangement due to an ongoing fumigation and sanitation exercise.

Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), in a statement said the fumigation exercise, scheduled to run from Tuesday, 23 December 2025, through the end of the year, forms part of NELFUND’s proactive commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment for staff and visitors.
During this period, minimal staff presence has been approved for essential on-site functions only. This precautionary measure prioritises staff welfare, with particular consideration given to pregnant women and women of child-bearing age, who may be more vulnerable to exposure during fumigation processes.
“Staff safety remains paramount,” Mr Akintunde Sawyerr, Managing Director/CE stated. “While the fumigation exercise is necessary, NELFUND has taken deliberate steps to ensure that no employee is unnecessarily exposed to any potential health risk.”
Owing to its robust digital infrastructure and well-established remote work framework, the Fund’s core operations, including loan processing, stakeholder engagement, internal coordination, and service delivery will continue remotely without disruption. NELFUND’s systems are designed to ensure continuity, efficiency, and accountability irrespective of physical office presence.
NELFUND emphasised that this temporary adjustment reflects institutional foresight and responsible governance, demonstrating how technology can be effectively leveraged to sustain uninterrupted public service delivery.
The Fund appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders during this period and reiterates its unwavering commitment to delivering transparent, efficient, and student-focused education financing services nationwide.
